The cost of a CHL Renewal Class is $65.00. Notary Service is available the same day for a $5.00 fee.
******Important Note******
DPS recommends that you initiate the renewal process on line Click Here. It is not necessary to have your Renewal Application Package to take the class. However, you must request it, or initiate the on line renewal process, if you have not already done so.
As of 5/1/2010, Fingerprints and Photos are no longer required for CHL renewals.
Beginning with the 3rd renewal, a person is only required to take the Renewal Class and Qualification Test once in 10 years. Contact DPS to check on your requirement.
