Although it is not mandatory, DPS recommends that you apply for the CHL on line at their web site Click Here. Otherwise, it is not necessary to request an application package from the DPS; I have application packages available, when you attend the class.
I recommend waiting at least 70 days after mailing your application package, before contacting the DPS:
